Weevils are called small beetles with a curving snout, and they belong to a family Curculionidae, they enter homes from cracks and holes in doors, windows, and foundations, they are not known for harming pets or humans, they cause serious problems and damage to foods, they can destroy crops and plants There are more than 60,000 species of weevils,

they infect the stems of plants and feed on them from the inner side, they are very small insects, less than 6 mm, they may cause rapid damage to crops and foods such as: wheat and grains, people may not notice crop damage at early stages, so they can damage large amounts of crops.

Weevils identification

Weevils have several sizes, shapes, and color according to each species, they have oval-shaped body, length is about 3 mm, it may reach to 10 mm. they have  black or dark brown colors, weevils have a characteristic appearance of head, it is extended and have a snout  at the end of the mouth, there are many species of it such as rice weevils, seeds, corn, beans.
